Our commitment to you

We're committed to doing quality work and looking after our clients. That means understanding what you need before we start, working to the relevant standards and regulations cost-effectively, keeping a safe and tidy site, protecting public safety and the environment, respecting your property, and keeping our team polite and courteous throughout.

Quotes and acceptance

• A quote is valid for two months from the date it is issued.
• Final pricing is confirmed after we measure the area before pouring, and can change if you request changes to the scope.
• Any change to the agreed work requires a new or revised quote.
• Accepting a quote — including by email to admin@concretebrothers.co.nz — means you agree to these terms of business.
• For some jobs, partial payment may be required before we pour.

About concrete

Concrete is a natural material and some variation is normal. Hairline cracking of up to around 3mm is acceptable — control joints are placed to manage the natural expansion and contraction of the slab, and don't affect its strength or durability.

Timeframes are our best estimate and can be affected by weather and site conditions. You can usually walk on new concrete within a day or two, but we'll advise you on keeping vehicles off while it cures.

What we're not responsible for

• Cracking or movement where the base or groundwork was prepared by others.
• Damage caused by natural events, tree roots, or heavy machinery access that couldn't reasonably be avoided.
• Damage to underground services or pipes that weren't identified to us — please have these located and pointed out before we start, particularly where existing concrete is being removed.

Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for two years from completion, and will remedy any genuine workmanship defect reported to us within that time. Where sealant is applied, it carries a one-year warranty.

• Failure to maintain the concrete or follow the care advice we provide.
• Repairs or alterations made by others without talking to us first.
• Fair wear and tear, or events outside our control.

Payment

• We invoice on completion of the work, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
• Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice.
• Where winter conditions delay sealing, that cost may be invoiced separately once the weather allows.
• Payment can't be withheld or deducted without our prior written agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
