Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

Concrete Brothers respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or get in touch, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights over it. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry, book a consultation, call or email us, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, the address of your property, and anything you tell us about your project. If we go on to work together, we also keep the details needed to quote, carry out and invoice the job.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, we and our analytics and advertising partners collect information about your visit through cookies and similar technologies. This can include the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example from a search or an ad), the links and buttons you click, how you scroll and move around a page, your approximate location, your IP address, and the browser and device you use.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, arrange consultations and site visits, and prepare quotes.
  • Send you a confirmation when you contact us through the website.
  • Carry out, manage and invoice work you engage us for, and look after any warranty or follow-up.
  • Understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
  • Measure how well our advertising works, and show our ads to people who may be interested in our services.
  • Keep business records and meet our legal obligations.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our website uses a small number of essential cookies so it works properly, plus the following analytics and advertising tools, which may set their own cookies:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to measure how the site is used.
  • Google Ads, to see when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to call or contact us, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website (remarketing).
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel, for the same purposes on Meta's platforms.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with our pages (such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) to produce usage reports and session replays that help us improve the site. Microsoft's privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com) explains how it handles this data.

Matching enquiries to our ads

When you send an enquiry through our website, we may share your email address and phone number with Google and Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form. This lets them confirm whether the enquiry came from someone who clicked one of our ads, so we can measure our advertising. It is not used to send you messages.

Your choices

You can limit or opt out of this tracking:

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may be affected.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Manage the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com.
  • Manage how Meta uses information for ads at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it's needed to run our business and website, with:

  • Service providers who handle it on our behalf, such as our website host, our email delivery service, and the tools we use to manage enquiries, quotes and jobs.
  • The analytics and advertising partners described above (Google, Meta and Microsoft).
  • Our sister company. Concrete Brothers and Landscape Brothers are run by the same team, so if your project involves work from both, we may share your enquiry and project details between us.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountants or lawyers, where needed.
  • Anyone we're required to share it with by law.

Storage outside New Zealand

Some of our service providers are based overseas, including in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect it to a standard comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act.

Storing and protecting your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, business and tax records are kept for seven years). No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it's wrong. Just get in touch using the details below and we'll help.

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we change the tools we use. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
