What we do
Built Elements
Timber and composite decks, plus boundary, privacy and feature fencing, built straight for Canterbury weather. The structures that finish a space off — timber and composite decks, and boundary, privacy and feature fencing, built straight and made to stand up to Canterbury weather.
In short
The finishing touches, handled by the family.
Once the concrete's down, it's the deck and the fence that make a section feel finished — somewhere to sit, and a boundary that gives you privacy. We deliver those alongside our brother company, Landscape Brothers, so the timber work is built to the same standard as everything else, and the whole project is sorted under one roof.
Built straight and solid
Proper footings, level frames and tidy fixings — the details that separate a deck that lasts from one that sags.
Timber or composite
We'll help you weigh natural timber against low-maintenance composite for how you'll actually use it.
Designed to fit
Heights, sightlines and screening worked out for your site — not off a template.
Our brother company
Fencing & decking are handled by Landscape Brothers.
Same family, same standards — our landscaping team takes care of the timber work so every part of your project is sorted end to end.
Styles & materials
A look to suit your place.
Every deck and fence is built to suit your site and how you'll use it. These are the styles and materials we work with most — mix and match, or ask us what suits.
Decking
2 styles

Hardwood
Dense timbers like Kwila and Vitex — rich, hard-wearing and built to weather beautifully for decades.

Composite
Low-maintenance boards that won't splinter, warp or need oiling. Set it and forget it.
Fencing
4 styles

Vertical paling
The classic Kiwi boundary fence — solid, private and clean-lined, in timber or composite.

Horizontal slat
A modern, architectural look, with the gaps tuned for the privacy and airflow you want.

Screens
Freestanding privacy and feature screens that block sightlines while letting light and breeze through — ideal for courtyards, pools and softening a boundary.

Feature walls & pool fencing
Feature walls, standout panels and compliant pool fencing — boundary elements that do more than just mark a line.
FAQs
Good to know.
Should I go timber or composite?
Timber looks natural and costs less up front; composite costs more but barely needs maintenance and won't splinter or grey off. We'll talk you through the trade-offs for your situation.
Do you handle fence boundaries with neighbours?
We can build to the boundary and talk you through the usual shared-fence considerations, but any cost-sharing with your neighbour is between you — we'll just build it right.
How much maintenance does a timber deck need?
A wash and re-oil every year or two keeps timber looking its best. We'll leave you with simple care advice, or point you to composite if you'd rather not think about it.
Can you build the deck and the concrete together?
Yes — that's the advantage of one crew. We can pour the patio or paths and build the deck and fence in the same job, so levels and finishes all line up.
