Commercial Sales Office

A commercial premises is judged from the car park in, so the flatwork has to look sharp and take a hammering from day one. For this sales and display office we laid the hard surfaces around the whole building — the exposed-aggregate footpaths and entry aprons that carry visitors from the park to the door, and the kerbing and edging that frame it all.

The paths are the hero. Broad panels of exposed aggregate are washed back to reveal the stone for grip and a hard-wearing finish, saw-cut into a clean grid and run to falls so water sheds away from the building. They meet the planter surrounds, timber entry and lawn with tidy, deliberate junctions rather than rough edges.

Alongside the concrete, we formed and sealed the car park — line-marked bays, marked accessible spaces and wheel stops, bounded by a crisp concrete kerb and mowing strip. An accessible ramp and handrails tie the level change together so the whole site works for every visitor.

It's the kind of commercial job that shows the team well beyond a driveway: exposed-aggregate flatwork, kerbing and a full car park, poured to programme and finished to the standard a public-facing business gets used and judged by.
